Magnesium Body Butter Details:
This body butter is thicker than most "Whipped" body butters on the market. In order to be able to ship this product in the heat, without adding harmful emulsifiers and alcohol, I had to formulate it to be a bit thicker than normal. It still melts very nicely on the skin and a little goes a long way. Seriously, this 2 oz will last you a very long time. I do not add any fragrance to this butter but the cocoa butter has a noticeable "chocolate" smell. Contains approximately 156 mg per tsp. which is VERY concentrated. Please note- it is totally normal to have a little bit of the magnesium oil bubble up at the top..simply smooth with your finger. Do not press down with a lot of pressure and force as this will cause the butter and magnesium to separate. The 2 oz jar totals 3,750 mg of magnesium.
Topical magnesium takes 30 minutes to be fully absorbed. Apply to the soles of feet prior to going to sleep, or rub onto stomach. You can also rub on sore muscles, joints, neck, etc... We have determined these amounts by starting with a tiny bit and increasing until we are sleeping better and have no symptoms of magnesium deficiency, such as arrhythmia, leg/foot cramps and insomnia. For headaches/migraine- apply to back of neck and forehead. For adults, we use at least 1/3 teaspoon every night. If symptoms persist, increase to 1 tsp. The skin will regulate how much is absorbed according to what is needed so you don't have to worry about taking too much. This body butter is for external use only, please ensure it is out of reach of children as children might find the "chocolate" smell enticing enough to eat. Do not apply to areas of broken skin/open wounds as it might sting.
